Revolution Mill Greensboro Wedding: Ely and Virginia
Ely and Virginia were married on a gorgeous, sunny day last October in our courtyard at The Colonnade in Greensboro.
The Backstory
“It all began on a Carnival cruise to the Bahamas during on our college spring break. We reconnected in the Spring of 2016 and maintained a long distance relationship for 9 months. Ely relocated to Charlotte, NC in January of 2017 and we got engaged while in New York City, April 15, 2017. Ely's sister was a part of the engagement surprise and it was wonderful to have her there.” - per their Zola website

The Planning Process and Vendors
With lots of excitement from family and friends, the couple ended up with a larger guest list than originally planned. We worked together with Virginia and her planner to come up with creative ways to fit all of their loved ones into the occasion. We utilized a mix of family-style rectangle tables and rounds to maximize the space.

Food and Drink
The guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with a bar in the outdoor courtyard while waiting for the reception to begin. Ely and Virginia opted for a buffet dinner and a pre-set salad. Not only does a pre-set salad look pretty on the tables, guests can begin eating while waiting on their turn for the buffet line. The couple included a lot of younger guests into their wedding day and wanted to do something special for them. They chose to serve a special kids meal alongside the buffet. Guests were delighted with the amazing dessert display!
The rose gold linens and gold accent place settings added an elegant touch to the reception decor.
